29 2 The offering of David and of the princes for the building of the Temple. 10 David giveth thanks to the Lord. 20 He exhorteth the people to do the same. 22 Solomon is created king. 28 David dieth, and Solomon his son reigneth in his stead.

Moreover, David the King said unto all the Congregation, God hath chosen Solomon mine only son, young and tender, and the work is great: for this house is not for man, but for the [a]Lord God.

Now I have prepared with all my power for the house of my God, gold for vessels of gold, and silver for them of silver, and brass for things of brass, iron for things of iron, and wood for things of wood, and onyx stones, and stones to be set, and carbuncle stones, and of divers colors, and all precious stones, and marble stones in abundance.

Moreover, because I have [b]delight in the house of my God, I have of mine own gold and silver, which I have given to the house of my God, beside all that I have prepared for the house of the Sanctuary,
